Ever since its foundation, ZEvA has committed itself to European standards and values in quality assurance and has promoted them in Germany and beyond.

Besides being involved in numerous international associations and activities, such as the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) or the Joint Quality Initiative, the agency has been conducting external assessment procedures in countries inside and outside the European higher education area for many years.
