Appeals and Complaints


ZEvA offers its contract partners an internal revision procedure. On one hand, Appeals can be lodged against any formal outcome of a procedure (e.g. accreditation or certification decision, final evaluation report). On the other hand, complaints can be filed against the conduct of the procedure or against the professional conduct of those involved.

Appeals must be submitted to the ZEvA office no later than four weeks after the decision; complaints can be submitted at any time. The ZEvA Revision Commission formulates an assessment of the content of the appeal or complaint and proposes a decision for the relevant commission (ZEKo or SEK), which then makes the final decision.
