Consultancy by ZEvA
In addition to auditing procedures, ZEvA offers consultancy services to higher education institutions, universities of cooperative education and other educational institutions, giving them the opportunity to receive comprehensive information in all areas of study and teaching as well as quality management and to enter into a discussion with both the agency's staff and qualified subject-specific experts. Services provided by ZEvA
If the consultation can happen without the assistance of experts, our project officers can provide you with their expertise. This gives you flexibility in terms of scheduling, and also allows you to choose the location of the consultation. It can take place either at ZEvA or at the institution to be consulted.
For consultation with external experts, an expert team of usually two to three persons is set up, together with the institution to be consulted. To prepare the team, a short report and documents are assembled, containing a precise and detailed description of the consultation assignment (reason and goals for the consultation).
In addition to the kinds of consulting described above, it is also possible to design an evaluation procedure as a consultancy rather than an assessment. While a procedure for external evaluation in the area of teaching and learning is basically oriented towards standards and guidelines (e.g. ESG), a special focus can be agreed upon for a consulting evaluation procedure.

- Internal evaluation

- Accreditation and certification
ZEvA's advisory services are generally free of charge for state higher education institutions in Lower Saxony. Please note that advisory assignments may not be combined with a quality assessment. For example, consulting on a study programme or the quality management of a higher education institution cannot be linked to a subsequent programme or system accreditation.
