Internal Quality Assurance

ZEvA has implemented a formalized quality assurance system that provides the guidelines for the agency’s accreditation activities. ZEvA strives to constantly improve the quality of its services in order to assist higher education institutions in assuming their responsibility for the quality of their teaching and learning. Customer satisfaction is ensured through efficient quality management and acceptance analyses based on the results of regular evaluations. Systematic and formalized procedures, as well as information and communication flows support the overall process of internal quality assurance. A special emphasis is placed on:

  • Efficient organization
  • Adherence to schedules
  • Transparency through comprehensive documentation of procedures and processes
  • Sharing of tasks and responsibilities
  • Cost effectiveness/balanced cost-benefit ratio
  • Internal or external evaluation of process quality
  • Due consideration of all processes and fields of activity

Coherent and consistent accreditation and evaluation decisions are one of ZEvA’s central quality goals. To this end, the reviewers provide feedback on a regular basis. In the two following documents, ZEvA’s understanding of quality is explained in more detail, including detailed descriptions of the most important quality assurance processes and control cycles (these documents are only available in German language).
