The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of the Managing Director and the Academic Director, both of whom are appointed by the Foundation Board for 5 years.

Function and Tasks of the Board of Directors 

The Managing Director supervises the personnel and manages the ongoing activities of the foundation. In particular, his/her tasks include:

  • Representing the foundation in legal matters,

  • Drafting of the budget,

  • Preparing and implementing the resolutions of the Foundation Board.

The Academic Director is the chairperson of the agency’s standing commissions. On principle, the Academic Director takes up the post on a part-time basis, in addition to his/her main professional roles and duties. The Board of Directors adopts its own rules of procedure which need to be approved by the Foundation Council.

At present, the ZEvA Board of Directors consists of Prof. Dr. Rainer Künzel (Academic Director of ZEvA) and Hermann Reuke (Managing Director of ZEvA).
